Prometric Test Center
Since 1998, the EAC has hosted and operated the only Prometric Testing Center in Nepal. The Prometric center administers the internet-based TOEFL, GRE, GED, and USMLE on a daily basis. Testing is available in the morning and in the afternoon. Please read the following information carefully if you will be taking a computer-based or internet-based test at our testing facility.

Reporting Times

Candidates registered for morning sessions should report to the test center at 8:45 A.M. Afternoon candidates should report at 12:30 P.M. Please allow approximately 15 minutes to complete preliminary paper-work before the actual test begins.

Identification Requirements

Regardless of which test you are taking, you MUST bring acceptable identification with you on the day of the test. The identification document is a valid passport. Effective July 1, 2004 all test takers in Nepal must present a VALID PASSPORT. NO OTHER FORM OF IDENTIFICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Foreign nationals testing at our facility MUST present a valid passport. No other forms of identification are acceptable. No exceptions.

Please note that we are very strict about identification requirements. Any candidate who fails to present valid identification will be turned away. In such cases, test fees will not be refunded and the candidate will have to re-register by paying the test fee again.

Standard Rules and Regulations

Candidates are reminded of the following regulations in effect at our testing facility:

  • No food or drinks are allowed in the testing room.
  • No smoking or using tobacco in the testing room.
  • Candidates may not bring pens, pencils, or paper inside the testing room. The test administrator will provide all materials/supplies you need for the test you are taking.
  • No medication is allowed inside the testing room – you must go out to the waiting room.
  • Lockers will be provided to store your personal belongings.
  • You will be photographed before you enter the testing room.
  • The entire test session will be recorded on video.
  • You must leave the testing room during designated breaks, but you may not leave the main building.
  • Calculator watches, calculators, pagers, cell phones and similar equipment are not permitted in the testing room.
